Amanda Casillas and Jacob Crayne will step onto the platform Monday and officially throw their names into the hat for spots at this summer's 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. The two divers will represent the Utah Utes at Monday's session of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in Indianapolis.

"I'm really proud of Amanda and Jake and at the same time, very excited to see them compete at the U.S. Olympic Trials," Utah head diving coach Richard Marschner said in a release. "Getting to this level is a testament to their incredible work ethic. They have achieved so much in their time at Utah."

Casillas, the 21-year-old junior diver from Orange, Calif., recently finished seventh on the platform at the 2016 NCAA Zones with a total score of 519.210. Casillas also finished 27th at the NCAA Championships in the same event.

"Three years ago, Amanda did not compete in the 10m and now she is one of the nation's elite," Marschner said.

Crayne, a 22-year-old senior from Sacramento, Calif., took first place in the three-meter dive at the NCAA Zones with a total score of 821.85. Crayne also had the second-best score of any Pac-12 diver at this year's NCAA Championships.

"Jake's improvement has been nothing short of amazing and this will be a great capstone to his diving career," Marschner added.
